The oldest oneita shirts I've seen are early 90's. It could be I just haven't come across an 80's one though. According to wikipedia they split in 1986. You should put up a pic of the tag maybe it looks different.

I'm pretty sure this is just a late 80's/early 90's novelty t-shirt. If it was Boomtown Rats, it would probably say "Boomtown Rats", not just the common "Rats" with a rat on it.

You could put Boomtown in the description, but most true fans will realize it's not likely a BR shirt, and assume keyword spamming. But you may get one BR fan who likes it anyway and buys it. Or you could just do the old standby from years back..."punk/emo" lol.
