A round-up of tees inspired by the legends of the squared circle.
Buck “Rock N Roll” Zumhofe is a legend in the ring, but definitely not for his achievements in the WWF. Zumhofe was a star in the AWA in the 1980s twice becoming the World Light Heavyweight Champion. Buck had an epic rivalry with Bobby “The Weasel” Heenan (before he was lured to the WWF and became famous for his brain.) Rock N Roll also dabbled in the even more obscure WCCW (World Class Championship Wrestling) as one part of the “Rock N Soul Connection” tag-team who achieved champion status twice.
He also made a handful of cameos as a whipping boy during WWF preliminary matches – but actually emerged with some bragging rights. He was the first victim of The Undertaker’s body bag as well as Triple H’s first opponent.
Long since retired Buck now mostly enjoys converting his old matches on VHS into DVDs for the YouTube.
Defunkd seller Black Market Pop Vintage has a few other wrestling gems up his sleeves. Next up is his beauty of a WWF ringer tee featuring the logo from their heydays. It’s a very odd size for a Screen Stars XL given it’s still an XL by today’s standards. Mr. Perfect and Legion of Doom also make cameos on The Collective topped off by a Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine promo tee.
