Remember this Vintage Vantage My Adidas RUN DMC t-shirt? Outrageously priced at $13,000 it made headlines as the world’s most expensive t-shirt. I started salivating over it just before Defunkd launched in 2004 and always wondered if someone would ever be crazy enough to buy it. I also subconscious thought “if these guys are selling shirts for $13k, I’m going to be a very wealthy man!” Ha. I kept an eye on it over the years and it never sold – so when VV dissolved I wondered what became of it and the rest of their true vintage goodies. After poking around a bit I was directed to a wicked Etsy store known as skippy haha vintage operated by Vintage Vantage veteran and former vintage tee shirt supermodel Heather M. The best of VV’s remains ended up here including the infamous RUN DMC t-shirt now priced at $86?! I immediately snapped it up and saved a whopping  $12,914. I love the history of this t-shirt so I had to have it in my personal collection.

As I was checking out their massive selection (close to 500 and definitely Etsy’s best) my eyes bulged out of my head when I noticed this DeLorean t-shirt. I’ve been searching for any true vintage DeLorean t-shirt since the early 00’s and had recently given up figuring one didn’t exist. Pretty sure if I run 88 MPH in it, I’ll be capable of time travel. While I test that theory out you should go check out skippy, they make vintage t-shirt dreams come true…at outrageously low prices.
