I have a riding hat like yours,only mine has a metal bar&shield hat badge.Was this an option,or a previous/latter item.Could you tell me wich came first and an aproximate year?

I currently have this cap/hat for sale on eBay, as part of an estate of a friends father…he was old school Harley rider, rode from 70’s and almost up to day he passed. 220859853198 if you go to eBay and search that auction number you will see it.
