Stormcrow-Vintage Seller Review

stormcrowadeBay Seller: Stormcrow-Vintage
Years of Service: 6
Transactions: 3300+
Feedback: 100%
Policies: Guaranteed vintage –  return for any reason.
Motto: “We sold our soul for rock n roll t-shirts.”

Good ol’ Stormcrow-Vintage has been one of eBay’s most consistent and trusted dealers of genuine vintage tees for the past 6 years. They broke the vintage t-shirt seller norm by allowing returns for any reason, yes, this even includes sizing. Their slick practices have earned them a flawless feedback score and near perfect DSR record, an amazing feat, especially with the recent changes to eBay’s feedback system.

Stormcrow has a constant flow of vintage tees in both auction and fixed price format which usually number at least 250 at any one given time. They specialize in 1980s band shirts – all forms of rock, punk and pop. They definitely like to dabble in the dark side given their wicked selection of vintage horror film t-shirts.

Their highest priced tee is a rare 1976 Stones Knebworth t-shirt at $10,000 but worry not, they run plenty of auctions that usually start at 1 cent.

Always liked the evocative name- but unless it was mentioned in that Hitchcock movie (of which my memory is hazy), I’m not sure of the connection. Just out of curiosity: Why Stormcrow?

Hey Travis, thanks for the question! I originally named it stormcrow as an inside joke. It’s the last name of the wizard, Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings books. (i know…this story is a real lady getter). Anyway, my best friend would check my ebay store periodically, and i was just trying to make him laugh. I used “the birds” graphic cuz i love horror movies and this one has lots of crows in it….and Tippi Hedren’s pretty damn hot.

p.s. as a side note to any nerds who might be reading…stormcrow is also a group of people in George R.R. Martin’s “Song of Ice and Fire” books, which i dare say is just as good as LOTR!

One of my favorite sellers. Never bought anything from him, but I frequently check out the interesting wares. I can also recommend blackrebelvintage. Strictly top shelf!

Hmm… now that I’m here and you’re here…I hope you won’t mind me asking… that Teenage Head shirt you had a while back… how long did it take you to sell it, out of curiosity?

Too long. I think the obscurity of the band and rarity of the shirt kinda worked against me. I ended up selling both of them to a really nice women who used to hang out with the band during that era. I have one more, but unfortunately it is small like the others and doesn’t fit me. I could probably use the whole shirt to repair a hole on one that currently fits me. or….maybe use it and my other 70s punk tees to make a neat quilt for this winter. You guys remember that? Jeeesus!

Oh yes jimmy j did an expose on that a while back.

Obscure band t-shirts definitely are hard sells. I remember finding a few obscure 80s or 90s band t-shirts and being thoroughly disappointed with the lack of interest. I guess there is a reason these groups are obscure!

I only ask because I have one myself and was wondering if it was worth putting up for a hefty price for a month just before xmas or if I should just put it up for a low opening bid and let the chips fall where they may. So… two months or so? Three?

It was at LEAST three, but i think more. I don’t remember when i listed it and it was set to auto re-list every 30 days. I’d be interested in knowing what it fetches in auction. Good luck and I hope i see it on “going once, going twice, going broke”!
