Headline: Mike Starr of Alice in Chains Fame is Dead

Year: 1990

Starr was best known as the bassist in Alice and Chains from its formation in 1987 to 1993. In 2010 he made the rounds on Celebrity Rehab where he admitted he was kicked out of the band because of drugs. This was quite a feat given the band’s reputation for drugs usage, he must have been functioning at Charlie Sheen levels. But unlike Sheen, Starr was actually winning. After a successful stint with Dr. Drew he even graduated to a sober living facility and spin off show called Sober House. Sadly, Starr was arrested earlier this year on suspicion of felony possession. He’s reported to have been using methadone and anti-depressant medication at the time of his death, still battling to remain sober. R.I.P.
