Headline: Clarence Clemons Passes Away

E Street Band saxophone legend Clarence “The Big Man” Clemons passed away on June 18, 2011. He suffered a stroke on June 12 and died six days later due to complication from it. Clemons was a pivotal part of the heydays of Springsteen and remained united with the E Street Band until his death. During the course of his career he collaborated with Jackson Browne, Aretha Franklin, Twisted Sister, The Grateful Dead and Ringo Starr. And aside from a successful solo career he dabbled in acting – lending his voice to The Simpsons and appearing in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Diff’rent Strokes and The Wire.
