Fact: In the song “Don’t Bring Me Down” most believed (and still do) that Jeff Lynne shouts “Bruce!” following the title line. However, he is actually saying a made-up word “Grroosss!” said to be inspired by a German word for “greeting”. But since so many people had misinterpreted it Lynne had a little fun at live shows while performing this song and used “Bruce!” instead.
