Among the earliest reported incidents of a T-shirt being banned is a gripping tale from 1977. Two Texas kids were suspended from school for wearing risqué Farrah Fawcett T-shirts. But with an unbelievably cool mom who had their backs, Keith and Wayne Woolery won this round. We salute all three of them (and Farrah!) They have been inducted into the Defunkd Vintage T-Shirt Hall of Fame. In sad community news, Dani and Cole Smith recently lost their house, belongings, and beloved pets to a fire. Thankfully, they and their two-year-old son Roy (Dani is also six months pregnant) are all safe. They are currently living with family and starting from scratch. All of their clothes, including a fantastic collection of vintage T-shirts, went up in flames. Dani, in particular, has been collecting since she was 16. Over the past two years, we've been IG pals, and I've loved watching her little family and vintage T-shirt collection grow. If you happen to have vintage T-shirts you can donate, please do. All sizes are welcome. Dani also wears smaller band tees; even toddler-sized tees for Roy would be amazing. But this isn't limited to just band tees; the couple currently has next to no clothing, so all things vintage will help.
