If you were trying to jump headfirst into the Bad Brains collecting game, I think your time is now. There two shirts are classics and would do any collection justice. First up is this yellow “Return To Heaven” 86-87 tour shirt. As with all of pingler‘s auctions he provides a nice description.
“This is a Bad Brains yellow XL double sided T-shirt put out by SST Records of Lawndale California in 1987. On a 10 scale it is an 8.5. I wore it a couple of times. There is some slight wear on the collar. It was put out when the Bad Brains were still on tour for I Against I.”
AS far as I can see, this thing is pretty thin, so I think he wore it a few more times than a couple. Still it looks like it’s in good condition.
Next up is this lovely “Quickness” 1989 World Tour shirt. This came from Dr. Know’s collection a few years back, and this is another lovely description by loop88.
“Bad Brains 89′ Quickness tour shirt=I got this from Dr. Know when he was selling his collection 10 years ago and this shirt is in amazing shape for being 22 years old. These shirts were only sold at a few shows on that 89’ tour as they are not the normal Quickness tour shirts you always see (according to Dr. Know). Out of all the tour shirts made on the Quickness tour in 1989, this is easily the rarest, as I have yet to see anyone have it. This shirt is a gem in my eyes!! Bad Brains Played in Tijuana Mexico on this tour, my brother was only 16 and I was 12, you had to be 18 to get into club “Iguanas” (A bootleg 7” was made from this show, you can hear my brother sing along) so I went with my dad to drop off my brother and we waited by the front entrance incase they didn’t let him in for not being 18 if he got carded. He got in and we left, came back 3 hrs later, back into Mexico and the show was still going on. I could feel the energy that was coming through the walls, Bad Brains sounded so amazing, the only problem was, I was outside. At least I got to be in the presence of this show. The club was a 3 story building and people were jumping off the 3rd story balcony, nutz!!”
