Screeching Weasel Silkscreen

Say what you will about Screeching Weasel, but this silkscreen from 1986 is pretty rad. And not only is it awesome, but it comes straight from weaselcrue45, more affectionately known as Jughead of Weasel fame. Check out the story.

So I, John Jughead, had a flood while I was in DC. I then proceeded to sell some of my surviving items. Now because I got to communicate with some fans and realized that they would treat this stuff better than I would, I have decided to purge it all. I got the memories in my head, and quite frankly that is enough, the rest is nostalgia and gravy. I also just want to say this has ALL to do with the flood and nothing to do with recent events in Weasel history.

This is the first generator of Merch in the Screeching Weasel history. We had my good friend Paul Russel design the art for this, our first mascot, based on a song called COWS. I still think this is my favorite design. This was the first silk screen I made, I don’t think I improved. It is a better design than the the Weasel logo one to follow. I really enjoyed the odd faces we would get when we played as Screeching Weasel, but had a Moshing Cow for our logo. Much like Elvis Presley destroying the arrival of Bluegrass, the Weasel destroyed the impact of the moshing cow. Poor cow. Poor Cow. Poor Humanity.

Pretty cool, right? That cow is a solid mosher.
