What’s Old Is New.

Some high priced auctions from jantvojta through out the day today, and these three, while all old, still manage to have a modern feel to them, largely because of all the bargain bin MMA/streetwear cum “punk rock” shirts that hang on the racks in stores like TJ Maxx…

Ok so, nothing even remotely like that Killing Joke shirt (which is so bloody incredible) would be on the rack at TJ Maxx (though the whole “photo taking up the whole front of the shirt” deal was a staple of streetwear). But you get my point. All over prints, distressing that basically just look like bleach stains… we’ve seen all of that over the past few years. All these shirts really need are studs and giant patches with crosses on them to fit right in. Of course, these were just as likely to have been made to look this way at home, as opposed to being mass produced by a 4 year old in Indonesia…
