Another embarrassing story. This one is about how I learned and began to love The Ergs. Yeah, I know. They are some punk band, not core. Not straight edge (or are they? I don’t know, I wouldn’t guess they are). Not crucial. But fuck, so catchy. I’m a sucker for catchy.<\/p>\n

So my embarrassing story. I was helping a user on thecollectionspace.com<\/a> get his pics up. It was still very beta and there were a few issues and hoops. I was helping him jump, but it was taking a while so we were shooting the shit about records and shows. He was telling me about how he still gets out to a lot of shows despite being the father of a teenager. That impressed me. It can’t be easy. He began telling me about this band he wasn’t into but his teenage daughter was. They were going to the final show together, and he was psyched for that father \/ daughter bonding time. The band turned out the be The Ergs. Based on this conversation, I hit up their site and was shocked how great it was.<\/p>\n

I’m not sure how many shirt designs they did over the years, but I’m guessing you can’t go wrong with a logo tee. And destroynewjersey<\/a> is selling two of them. The first one is one of the first, and the blue one is newer. You’d never know either way, right? Good stuff.<\/p>\n
