As a kid, I never owned any Vision Street Wear sneakers. Back then it was mostly Pony or Converse. One time I got some rad Airwalk shoes though, real early in the game. My mom got me the Prototype 600f Lavas<\/a> (I didn’t cut off the lace saver though. The lace savers were AWESOME!). But I never got VSWs. My mom would always just point to the converse all stars two rows over and $20-40 cheaper. I was cool with that. I didn’t need some high end sneakers for kicking around in. I wasn’t really a skate rat, you know? Later my older brother ended up marrying a skate rat. She competed in events and won all sorts of cool shit (she definitely has one of those original Powell Peralta Lance Mountain deck<\/a> CLOCKS!). I wound up buying her an ill VSW fanny pack for dog walking. My brother hates it but she loves it. Win-win. Does anyone thinking this story would be more appropriate for skatenoize.com<\/a>? I do.<\/p>\n
