It’s pretty safe to say that Stay What You Are<\/em> was a GIANT departure from the Saves The Day<\/a> that we all knew and loved. Honestly, Through Being Cool<\/em> was a clear indication that the ship was turning. It just wasn’t clear at the time how far that turn was going to be. Stay What You Are<\/em> made it abundantly clear. Mind you, I enjoy this album. But much like the Fastbreak Whenever You’re Ready<\/em> album, I have to convince myself it’s actually a whole different band. In Saves The Day case, this was close to true. Sean (RIP) was fighting cancer, Bryan was on his way out. It was starting to look like a band I didn’t recognize. No worries, the music was still enjoyable, even if it did take me 10 years to get into Through Being Cool<\/em>.<\/p>\n
