7 or 8 years ago, my friend AJT (not to be confused with AJ) turned me onto Stay Gold.<\/p>\n

I honestly don’t recall ever seeing them. Which seems odd, as I know they came east for at least a few shows.<\/p>\n

At the time, I recall they were a “good” band. Nothing stellar, nothing over the top. I categorize them in the Count Me Out territory. They were the CMO of the Northwest (or maybe CMO was the Stay Gold of the East Coast).<\/p>\n

Within a few years, that all changed. After they broke up, kids began clamoring for them. It’s weird. At least on the east coast, their responses were always subdued (or so I heard).<\/p>\n

But now, kids go (lady) gaga over them. I wish the same could have been said while they were around and touring.<\/p>\n
