‘Tee Till Death’ Lives!
If you were a vintage t-shirt collector a decade ago you’ll probably remember the legendary t-shirt site “Tee Till Death.” It was conceived in 2009, during eBay’s vintage t-shirt heydays, you know, before the days of Instagram when vintage tee heads frequented blogs and forums.
TTD had a team of writers churning out blog posts like there was no tomorrow. The site showcased a mix of vintage tees with some modern-ish stuff mixed in (which is vintage now, a decade later.) They had a particular obsession with hardcore, punk, and metal tees, but covered everything pretty thoroughly over the years, given they published thousands and thousands of posts.
Several years ago the site went offline and we all felt a disturbance in the force.
Then a few years ago we tracked down the guys who were behind it (Chris & Brian) this and asked if they’d be cool if we resurrected it for archive purposes. They were down. But finding the backups, restoring the site, and then updating it for the mobile generation took some time. But it was well worth the effort and we’re proud to preserve this site – its 4000 pages are a welcome addition to our vintage t-shirt archive.
You can find it through the drop-down under “Archive” in our navigation.
Big shout out to Chris and Brian for their participation.
Long live Tee Till Death!
