I always forget about whatever it is I put into my watch list. Always.
Case in point. Believe it or not, this Straight Edge hardcore kid is super into W.A.S.P.
Yes, that W.A.S.P.
Now, actual W.A.S.P. shirts that aren’t hideous, either in price or design, are a nigh impossibility to find. The over priced expensive ones from vintage stores, sure they’re always there, but even the hideous ones rarely show up with low start bids. But late last week, I stumbled upon one that was actually wearable, and still moderately low ($20 I think it was at). So I figured what the hell, I’ll check in on it towards the end and maybe throw in a bid. So instead of BEING SMART AND POSTING IT HERE WHERE I CAN’T MISS IT (and by posting I mean writing a draft and not publishing it, some things I’m just not gonna share with y’all), I put it on my watch list.
Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.
I forgot all about it, and when I finally did remember, it turns out it sold for an easily affordable $34.
So now I’m stuck with blackrebelvintage‘s over priced version. $200? No, thank you.
Yes, Virginia, there IS a back print, and all things considered it’s actually quite subtle.
you have an iphone, the ebay app will remind you when the auction is about to end.
Other things I do not remember to use: the eBay app on my iphone.
Doesn’t ebay mail you 3-4 hours before the auction ends too? I’m calling BS on this “missed auction” issue. Some WASP fan you are, man!
there’s plenty of time to forget about something in 3-4 hours, so i can let that slide, the app sends you a notification anywhere form 60 to just 5 minutes before the auction ends.
technology is our friend and should be embraced.
