Someone sent me the link to this Cro-Mags Down But Not Out tour shirt that invtgwetrust was selling a few weeks ago. I was planning to use it as a WTF? post from the get go, but I was in no rush as the Buy It Now was at $449.99. Fast forward to this morning when I check ebay and see that it has been SOLD. For $449.99. WTF? Go ahead and check it out. It was not pulled. It was not sold for a lower price. The only thing I can say is WTF?
Haha, I was the guy who sent you that link. Hopefully DBNO sellers won’t see this as a precedent and set the price ridiculously high… i NEED this shirt, but obviously am not willing to spend that much.
No way this is getting paid for…I bet the seller had a friend BIN it so that they could then later say the person didn’t pay and relist for slightly cheaper.
far fetched maybe, but this seller strikes me as sneaky
But he would still have to pay the final auction fee. If he wanted to do that, he could just end the item.
this toronto seller has tons of heat, and very high priced items. wish i knew where he lived. i would organize a heist.
Chris – I think the BIN fee only needs to be paid if the buyer actually completes the sale by paying. The seller still eats the listing fee though. I will say though it seems like a risky play. Maybe someone is just fucking with the seller and buying the BIN not intending to pay for it. I say we keep an eye on feedback left by the seller. Surely if someone gave him 450 bucks for 100 dollar tshirt he would leave positive feedback right away.
hahaha. the whole thing is just ridiculous.
sold for 449 bucks?
DAMN!
