Inspiration.

Would that there was a LOC tank top auction (I have a Small that I need to put up but I’m way too lazy) to post up with this Adidas tank top from geisten, because truth be told, without the Adidias tank top, there would be no LOC logo as we know it.

Obviously it’s not an exact rip (which is a good thing in this case), but this was specifically cited when Greg and I were brainstorming merch ideas via messageboard one day: a lock done up Adidas style on a tank top. If memory serves, the LOC tanks debuted at Posi Numbers 2004 (see pic below, which was chosen more for the presence of Murphy than myself, I swear. Also because it’s probably the best picture you can find of the tank), and then from there became the actual logo that appeared on the records and the back of many shirts since.
