Bane Zip Up Navy with White Stitched Letters

The zipped hooded sweatshirt. Some people love them, some people hate them.

I’m of a mixed opinion. I like a quality hood. Sometimes the zipped hood meets my needs. But sometimes, it gets all wrinkled up near the pockets, and that’s just not a good look.

I’m going out on a limb and saying Bane popularized this style. They weren’t the first band, but I think they were the first band to blow them up. That and the AN zip hood. The rest is history …

Now for this hood, the seller is claiming it’s the first zip hood Bane made. I’m calling him out on that. Not true. Seriously. Navy sucks. The first Bane hood was a black one with stitched letters. Black, not navy.

But it’s cool, still a dope hood.

No way. It was totally blue.

    What? No way.

  3. tre says:

I think you might be wrong on this one here homeboy. I think the first ones were blue. Then black after that. At the least, black and blue were made at the same time.

  4. b. murphy says:

Shit. Has my hatred of navy blue driven me to this level of bias?

  5. colin says:

the only reason i’m sure about this is because i think i got my (blue) one at the first show they sold them at. i think it like a week or two after the A|N shirts dropped (or at least before Gibby rocked one at the first panic gig @ mass art).

  6. colin says:

    errr after, not before

  7. tre says:

Upon re-rethinking this, yeah, blue was definitely first. As I did not get one, cause I wouldn’t have worn a blue zip up. I waited till the black ones were made, and that is the one that I got then.

  8. Steve says:

Sorry dude. The first ones were blue. I got this from my old roommate who got it from someone in one of those prominent Boston bands at that time.

I will admit when I am wrong. And I am wrong.
