Bands Ive never actually heard pt2

richardbladeyourself brings us/me another installment of bands ive never actually heard. I know this band has a lot of fans. Its just that none of them happened to be in my circle of friends at the time so I never really made an effort to hear this band at the time. Now it just seems too late. Am I really this much of a cranky old man? Washed up at 32?
PS. nice early 90s shirt from Outspoken. If youre a fan then youre probably psyched

  1. How is it possible that a 32 year old hardcore kid has never heard Outspoken???
They weren’t the biggest band in the world, but they were definitely a staple in the 90’s hardcore scene….
I would understand if you said you never heard Yuckmouth, Point Blank, Triggerman, or Ice….
But C’mon… Outspoken? Get yourself the Survival 7″ Asap for a good introduction…. But, save your money until a better shirt pops up on Ebay… This shirt is whack!

outspoken is sick too. they were def a huge band. survival ep and light in the dark LP. demo was really good too. great style/lyrics

  3. The Demo might be my personal favorite Outspoken recording… The remastered/remixed version of the LP sounds alot better too.

I blame it all on living in new England and focusing most of my time in the 90s to nyhc and local bands I could actually see. When you have set it off, hatebreed, and cornerstone. What more do you need?!?

i agree andrew! i have the outspoken discography. in my worldview of hc, outspoken is required listening for anyone into 90s sxe/vegetarian shit. outspoken might even be one of the best in their class. tons of swagger despite talking about certain issues that give me a serious headache. shoots to have heart for being one of the few bands that gave nods to them during the 2k era.

outspoken demo has the kind of mosh parts that east coast hc is best known for.

jay i feel you on that tip for sure. its cooler to be into shit from your area. its usually an indication of seeking outwardly for bands not in your locale, that your local scene is more of a beat happening.
