** that’s a lie. I don’t really LOVE LIHC with that much vigor. I enjoy LIHC, and I dig LIHC, but I think the term LOVE would be a bit of a stretch. But I know plenty of you dudes live and breath these tunes. Or at least, live and breath in Long Island pride. I however, have only been to Long Island twice. Once for a Bane / RJ show, another time for a This Is Hell/ Bane gig. Both gigs were excellent, mind you. But if you live and breath LIHC, marcusboldt has the tee for you. Nothing says LIHC like a little Vision Of Disorder. I’m guessing these guys, at least per unit, are the measuring stick for all other LIHC acts. Step your game up, boys.
Does Long Island have a lot of canyons??
It’s funny, I don’t really consider vod LIHC, least not since the mid 90s. There was a post on here a few months ago about how their shows feel more like a concert. It’s true. Their stage presence is like they think they’re pantera or something. Great band, just not LIHC. Same thing with Glassjaw. Well they’re not great really. Well…not at all actually haha.
I was really into this band until I finally seen them. Just after the “Still” 7″ dropped, they were to play a few shows around Chicago(where I’m from), but cancelled on each one. I even took a trip to Detroit to see them play with Madball but, they cancelled again. Finally they played in Chicago(Fireside Bowl) and Tim sang most of the show with his back to the crowd.
