In My Eyes is all Washed Up (Off)

Here’s a great In My Eyes shirt from sarahkali22. Don’t worry, the title was just for grins. Nothing To Hide still gets regular rotation. I would listen to the demo even more if it wasn’t for those damn click tracks. Someone should convert the tape to mp3. That’d be good.

As for the Summer Tour 98 tee, it’s just dope. The best part is obviously the portion that immediately washed off. I guess when the shirts were screened, they weren’t heat dried long enough. So on the the first wash & dry, most of them lost the right hand print. “In My Eye” style. Overall, great shirt. I’m guessing this one is a Tultex brand. Don’t see that one very often anymore … This shirt is one of a small handful that does NOT say “In My Eyes Boston Straight Edge” too. Very few shirts were released by the band without those mentions: stacked, skyline, … a few others?

If I remember right, the reason why was cause the Big Wheel screen printing place only had a flash dryer, and not a big, real deal conveyor… so this happened with many shirts that they did…

…which also, if memory serves me correctly, was done by Chase, who went on to do supercult.com.

Is this right? Are these fake memories?

This shirt was done by some of Rama’s friends that he lived with in Brooklyn for a while. They had a press there and did some cool “looking” stuff but the quality was weak-street.

They were some semi-sustainable indie-hippie types who were nice but if a shirt wasn’t one color or was layered it was going to turn out like this…oh well.

As for the clicky demo…I have the ADAT but who really needs that cleaned up , if I ever get a chance to xfer it I’ll give it away on the web.

    Sick

Weak-street. I think I rode my bike down that earlier today … Hell, I’d settle for a hissy tape transfer. I’m picky but not THAT picky. Thanks for the info dude.
