I’m going to start off this post by bursting a bubble. thisverymoment says:
So I believe what we have here is an original XL 4-sided Youth of Today Break Down The Walls era long sleeve. I say “believe” because I’ve never been able to verify if this is indeed OG, or if it is a boot. I’m leaning towards original but my research on this gem hasn’t got me far. Maybe the guys at Tee Till Death can help me out with this one? or anyone for that matter, feel free to message me if you know the answer and I’ll update this.
Let the bubble bursting begin. Sadly, this is not an original Youth Of Today shirt. At least, not sold by the band. The wizard sleeves should have been a big tip off to the seller. And if not that, the fact that Lost & Found released a live YOT album called “Take A Stand” with this exact artwork should have been the second clue. Either way, it’s probably 15+ years old.
Fun fact: the slogan on the back is 2 of 3 lines ripped from the Boy Scouts of America. That was a Rev Fun Fact back in the day, but as a former Boy Scout, I picked it out right off. The second line for the BSA is “mentally awake,” which is pretty fitting for YOT too. #PMA
Seeing this Invasion Strength Team tee makes me sad right now. I was doing shoulder presses at the gym on Thursday and as I was going up I heard a giant “POP” come from the vicinity of my right shoulder. And then there was pain. Needless to say, I was out of the gym the rest of the week. Thankfully after a couple days of icing it feels fine again, but I don’t like missing days. Not gonna look like this guy if you skip days, but then again, if you try to work out hurt you’re not gonna look like him either. You’re just gonna hurt something else. So it was for the best.
