I bought this shirt at the Tune Inn sometime in the the 90s around when Scratch the Surface came out. Was a good show. All SOIA shows at the Tune Inn were sick. The thing about this shirt is that it doesnt look cool anymore and it is basically a bulletproof silkscreen ink shield! Thickest of the thick. Forget about wearing it in the summer. Sweat machine. Mine probably still looks brand new as I didnt wear it too much

At some point in every coremin’s tshirt collecting career, they own this shirt.
Usually it’s towards the beginning of the old tshirt collecting phase.
At least, that’s how it happened with me. I actually ended up getting two of these almost back to back. The first one was super shredded. Super, super shredded. But you know what? I was fucking stoked. This is an amazing looking shirt. Very crucial, great font, top live pic. Just an overall good look. So I would wear this shredded tee with a shirt under it. Then as luck would have it, I ended up picking a non shredded version less than 4 weeks later.
Of course, they were both shaped like dresses and were eventually traded away. Such is the life of a tshirt collector … I may have given the shredded one away. It was literally unwearable. Not sure how I tricked myself for those 4 weeks.

Split Lip / Chamberlain Reunion Tee
When you think of Split Lip merch, I bet you think of the same things I do.
a) short wide
b) cut & rolled
c) wacky ass colors
d) odd ass placements (belly button, kidney, …)
This only meets ONE of my expectations. That’d be D. randomly located graphic. And in reality, it’s not all that random. In fact, it’s a very 2005 placement.
That disappoints me. I understand that Split Lip creates merch to sell and make money and that today’s consumer does not want kidney area graphics, but shit, don’t forget your roots!
Size Medium? That’s just bullshit. If this isn’t tent sized, it’s not for me.

old Lifetime shirt
Seller states this is one of the first Lifetime designs. Has the 7″ cover on the back. Not my favorite era Lifetime but I do celebrate their entire catalogue. I actually got turned onto Lifetme but one Mr. Jesse Standhard(sorry to ruin your street cred). He lent me the “jerseys best dancers” record around its release time.
Fun Fact – I got yelled at/lectured at for stagediving during Lifetime at the Tune Inn in CT by some angry fans. I thought I was at punk/hardcore show?!? Sorry for enjoying myself and the band. I did not stop my activty during the show after said lecture.
