Possible Mental Bootleg

Here we have a very possible Mental bootleg. This is the first Mental shirt I ever made. The front was a doodle that I made at work instead of doing what I was supposed to. I emailed it to DFJ for no real reason except to check it out and he asked if they could put it on a shirt. I was psyched at the time but Im not that into it(the design) anymore but it has a lot of sentimental value to me. I kinda hope that it is a bootleg because it will be the SECOND time ive been bootlegged. And as much as I am not into boots, its pretty fucking cool to say youve been bootlegged. Whats setting my spidey sense off is that the colorway is completely off. The blue is super light where the original was closer to navy. I thought maybe it was the lighting but the blue is exactly the same on the front and back in both pics. Im saying this is a boot!

A real one. Notice that the ink is a completely different color

Converge Petitioning The Empty Sky LP

Great album, re-released on this wacky colored vinyl in 2005. Nearly 10 years after Ferret Records released the Petitioning EP. Good times.

It’s no Halo In a Haystack, but seriously, what is?

Also, another key note. Check that seller. Aaron Dalbec. He was in Converge for most of the 90s. Now with Bane, Only Crime, … Busy guy. I’d watch this seller very closely because I can guarantee he is sitting on some Converge GEMS.

Whoa, what about this? PETA lists Dalbec as a nominee for 2008’s World’s Sexiest Vegans … Now that’s something. I guess it’s for vegetarians but since Dalbec is vegan, gotta rep that vegan pride.

Stay Gold Tee

7 or 8 years ago, my friend AJT (not to be confused with AJ) turned me onto Stay Gold.

I honestly don’t recall ever seeing them. Which seems odd, as I know they came east for at least a few shows.

At the time, I recall they were a “good” band. Nothing stellar, nothing over the top. I categorize them in the Count Me Out territory. They were the CMO of the Northwest (or maybe CMO was the Stay Gold of the East Coast).

Within a few years, that all changed. After they broke up, kids began clamoring for them. It’s weird. At least on the east coast, their responses were always subdued (or so I heard).

But now, kids go (lady) gaga over them. I wish the same could have been said while they were around and touring.

Naked Raygun Tee

The seller claims this tee is from 1988.

I want to call bullshit, but I’m no Naked Raygun pro.

It just looks to crisp for a 20 year old tee. The lettering is just TOO exact, you know? Even the font smacks of early 2ks.

Anyone got details on this one?
