Rival Schools – United By Fate Tee

Somehow, I never got into Rival Schools. I just missed it.

I also didn’t get into World’s Fastest Car (that’s right, isn’t it?).

But I loved Quicksand.

And I love the Wally solo stuff. His acoustic jams are pretty chill. I even like the acoustic Rival Schools stuff. When I listen to the Rival Schools album, I keep hoping it’ll sound more like the acoustic jam.

This shirt is ill though. It’s always seemed like a nod to Insted’s Bonds of Friendship LP. A good look, no doubt. Plus, great color for a tee.

I’ve never seen this hood before in my life.

Now, I’m not saying I’m the biggest OLC fan, in fact, I’m not even a fan. That Victory Records EP was ok, but the bullshit surrounding it was WAY too much for me.

Sponsored by a cigar company? WTF? Was that some weirdo inside joke or what?

As for this hood, dunno. Could be a boot. I honestly can’t recall ever seeing this gear. Maybe it was a local limited run by Too Damn Hype records, I just don’t know.

This shirt both inspires and bums me out.

Inspirational because it’s amazing Taggart art for Agnostic Front.

Bummerville because it is a weirdo heat transfer. It’s gotta be a St Marks gem from years back.

It’s odd. With all the Agnostic Front reunion tours, and new albums, I have still never seen them live. The closest I ever got was being in Albuquerque for work when they came through with First Blood. I ended up working until 9pm (starting at 5am) and couldn’t drag myself to walk to the venue. This would have been 2-3 miles in March. March in Albuquerque isn’t bad, but still, 2-3 miles is no joke after a ~16 hour work day.

Here it is. My least favorite Mental shirt! I love Mental, the dudes and the band. A lot of cool shirts but this thing. I dont know. Where can one wear this without looking like an asshole?
