WTF-Leeway merch galore?

There seems to be a Leeway producing merch company based in Astoria, NY. My guess(duh) is that one of the band members is the seller. Leftovers from a previous tour? New stab at making a buck? Either way, I can respect the hustle. I would recommend that they don’t list too much at once, so they don’t flood the market.
There is a product for all of your Leeway needs….

Whatever the case, support this guy, and help him clean out his basement. You will spend more than $20 on a shirt from the GAP.

Terror – Life And Death Baseball Tee

I think I was saying something about a magnet. Seriously.

For the record, Terror is amazing. I caught them over the weekend on the 10 For 10 tour. And while it was the longest show imaginable, it had many fine moments, the Terror set was one of them. When Vogel told the crowd to make the security guards “do their job,” I thought we were going to see a mutiny. His constant chant of “get up, get up here” gave them many crowd surfers to catch. Stupid barriers. Lots of great hangs: trav tih, hoodrack, chucky edge, david wood, sweet pete, raio, pete chilton, KALE, scott lee, Grillos Pickles Crew (with free pickles and tees for the kids)… Good times all around.

psssst … that auction also includes a Reign Supreme tee. Klint is vegan straight edge. Nuff said.

WTF? Brother’s Keeper – Tribal Ringer

I swear to god I have a magnet on wacky mid 90s tees. Like they seek me out. I don’t go looking for these, but rather, they seek me out. Everything about this tee SCREAMS mid 90s. First, it’s a Brother’s Keeper tee. That’s some mid era 90s metal rock core. Add the ringer tee (oooff, terrible. Ringers and baseball tees make my most hated tshirt styles. Unless they start making capped sleeves in mens sizes, ringers will always be the bottom of the barrel. Exceptions: Bold Ringer, FPC Ringer). Then check the weird tribal on the back. I don’t get it. It’s mesmerizing.

To cap it off, check that belly print. Double ooofffff. If it didn’t work for Smorgasbord (sorry, I believe in going vegetarian but that shirt is a little over the top silly), it definitely won’t work for Brother’s Keeper. This feels like a Chip Sem shirt. We shall see.

Seller Spotlight – fakerudy

Here’s another gem of a seller. Do you like your early 80s california punk & hardcore? Dumb if you don’t because this guy has all the good shit. Seriously, the best shit. fakerudy has been hitting up shows since the early 80s. We caught up with him, check it.

1. How did you get started in the punk/ hardcore scene?

It all started for me when The Clash “Combat Rock” came out. I knew that I’d never be the same again. Living in nowhere Kansas, I had never been exposed to punk. For the first year (1983), I listened to U2, Berlin, Missing Persons thinking that this was punk, then I stumbled across a college radio station that played punk and hardcore. When I heard that first hardcore song I knew that “this is what I’ve been looking for.”

2. How did you amass all these amazing tees?

Mostly going to shows and hitting record stores. I was too impatient for mail order, plus I always enjoyed the thrill of a good find!

3. What’s the strongest memory attached to one of these shirts (like a great show, or a funny merch table discussion)?

Way too many!!! Probably the Black Flag “Loose Nut” shirt. That was my first show and my first time to ever meet other punk kids. I still remember it like it was yesterday.

Great first show. Just imagine. All his gear is mind blowing. He’s got a little bit of everything. But if the 80’s aren’t your thing:

In a few weeks I’ll be selling all of my shirts from the ’90’s. Thanks for the interest!

You know we’ll be watching!
