Wow, no sooner than we start this blog, a true gem is spied in the wilds of ebay. What we have here is a  “The Way It Is” Revelation Records shirt. This is an odd shirt from the early Revelation Records days for the following reasons;

  • The shirt features the Revelation Records logo and star, and was NOT made by Revelation Records.
  • The shirt features a picture of Raw Deal on the back who were not on the comp.

The story as I know it(which may be wrong) is that Tim Singer made a small batch of these at the same time as the Raw Deal “no More Games” shirts were printed up. Not sure why, but I am glad he did.

This shirt SHOULD represent the ideal  for Revelation Records memorabilia collectors, but there are few out there, and many people have never even seen this design.

I am going to try to get some further information from Tim Singer about the origins of the shirt.

Good luck with the bidding, as I assume that this baby will sell for a  pretty penny.

Stop And Think Shorts

I remember when these got printed up.  Dudes were losing their minds to get a pair.  AJ told me he had set a pair aside for me, so my anxiety was much less than others.  At the time, AJ was living in Boston, and I was still living out in Worcester.  Needless to say, it took me a while to track him and the shorts down.  In fact, when I finally got the two in the same room together, it was just after AJ had come back from the beach.  He had used my shorts as swim trunks.  He handed me a pair of salty trunks and said, “here you go!”  It was pretty much all sorts of awesome. To this day, you barely ever see these on Ebay.

One thing about these shorts, they are mad tiny. I’m not sure what it is, but they are all super small. I love my pair, but fuck, they are tiny. Always a good look for the gym though. They’ll help you get that extra rep out.

Murphy’s Law America Rules shirt

What better way to follow up on a Floorpunch post, than with this Murphy’s Law gem. At first glance, this shirt might look like a bootleg, or recently made shirt. On closer inspection we have a genuine winner coming from what I am sure is an amazing private collection. This shirt appears to be silkscreened by hand, and I have only see this style once before on ebay in a red/orange colorway(thanks cooch).

This gem has a lot going for it.
#1 Unworn condition
#2 Decent size
#3 Great design
#4 Comes with provenance because of the seller.

The only thing sucky about it, is that I told you about it. I plan on bidding as I am sure jayballs is as well. That’s the way this blog is going to go folks,so keep your pants on.

Have you ever walked down the street and been approached by a stumped guido? This individual is usually stumped by your tee and will ask, “hey, where is Floorpunch, New Jersey?” This has happened to me before, not as much with this shirt as with another, but still enough to warrant discussion.

Raw Deal made this shirt classic. Floorpunch made this design their own version of classic. Everything from giant youth crew fonts, to loud screaming “STRAIGHT EDGE,” it’s all in your face. There is no mistaking this design for anything other than a classic straight edge tee from one of the premiere straight edge bands of the late 90s.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, if you don’t like Floorpunch, you’re not straight edge. Peep it on
ebay and help a top notch edgeman out.
