The Only Way To Carry Your Fest Cash

Imagine hitting up the next fest, walking up to a crowded merch table, picking out 4 tees, 2 sweatshirts and 3 limited fest LPs. You then pull out this beautiful soulcraft1977. Double bonus if you pull this out at the Reaper Records merch table.

Alive and Well Fest Tee

Oh Alive and Well Fest, it’s been over a decade, but I remember you well. You were much more memorable than your concert tee.

Talk about your stacked line ups. Sadly, the Trusters and I didn’t stick around for the second day because there was a Madball show in Worcester the next day. Yes, you read that right, we went home to see Madball and I don’t even remember who instead of Burn, Breakdown, and Floorpunch. “Don’t blame me, I didn’t drive there” is the only excuse that I can offer. Some highlights that I recall:

-hearing sketchy noises galore coming from boarded up buildings along the boardwalk as we walked to the convention hall.
-it being my first time seeing Underdog and 7 Seconds. Neither disappointed me in the slightest.
-Murphy’s Law having what seemed like half the crowd come up on stage with them for the entire set.
-Hare Krishnas giving out food. I do not remember if it was good food, so I’m guessing it wasn’t.
-DHU and the Follow Through Crew owning it with stage dives from the main stage during SOIA.
-Madball playing a bunch of Look My Way songs and the pitting frenzy they created making me finally realize that it was a good record; it just had underwhelming production.
-Hearing even more sketchy noises coming from the buildings along the boardwalk while Btrust and I walked around listening to the Michael Graves fronted Misfits from outside and talking about how we wished it was Danzig.

Strangely, I can’t remember a thing about the Fury of Five set. I must have been hit in the head.

Cruz Records 1990 roster shirt

Now THIS is what I’m talking about! Look at this label roster shirt from Cruz Records 1990. It has all the logos, all the band members, and all the personality of the bands expressed in a tidy little package. This is a great looking shirt, and a little oxyclean bath would make it shine like new. I would like to thank s-king-sickboy for postign this one up. I’m a fan!

Tank Tops And Bum Outs.

Awesome pair of tank tops from sellers akashalashaska… we start with the infamous and highly sought after LOC tank, as seen at Posi Numbers 2004:

I am bummed out to report that the one I wore during the TWS set has a giant rip in it, and the other one I own is a size small, so I won’t be wearing either any time soon (nor will I be selling either any time soon). And then we have the Cold World Raiders logo tank top:

Funny Raiders (but not Cold World) logo related story, I was at one of the Insted reunion shows a few years back, this one in RI, and I was outside talking to DFJ and I happened to be wearing a Raiders baseball cap. This dude comes running up to me and excitedly says “Are you a Raiders fan?” Dude seemed super psyched, and I felt like a huge jerk having to tell him that I just was taking my fashion tips from N.W.A. His face visibly fell, and he just said “Oh, I’m a Browns fan. Sorry.” and walked away. Cut to a couple hours later, Insted starts, and I realize who I had just bummed out: Kev Insted. I felt like the biggest jerk. Didn’t stop me from diving to We’ll Make The Difference though.
