Funny thing; I went back and looked, and I said the EXACT SAME THING the last time we saw one of these. But hey, it’s the truth: I really dig the red, white, and blue color scheme when it comes to this version of the YOT fist design. I’m not even all that patriotic, and I actually don’t care for the YOT fist as a logo all that much. But in this case I think the blue YOT and the red BDTW really pop off the white tee, and the way the words are composed around the fist it avoids the awkwardness that makes me a non-fan of the Positive Outlook shirt. A simple, yet effective design and color scheme.

(The seller doesn’t say if it’s original or not, but he does say the tag is an Allstyle Apparel & Activewear, and that sure sounds 80s to me.)

White Devil.

Janvanderdam always makes with the good stuff, and just as often with the rare stuff as well. And this White Devil ringer tee counts as rare stuff, as just about anything from this mid-90s Harley and Parris band with Bobby from Biohazard is pretty damn hard to find.

If you’re like me and have a soft spot for the hair metallish tendencies of later ‘mags records (which admittedly, have very low lows to go with the probably hairspray assisted highs), then you’ll probably actually be into White Devil, who combine that tendency with more than a little bit of I Against I Bad Brains riffage (plus one Ramonesish song, which just sticks out like a sore thumb). All of the White Devil songs actually ended up on the Revenge lp when Harley and Parris made a go at another ‘mags record, and along with the song Premeditated, they’re pretty much the only good things about that one.

Ebay is currently flush with rare Free Spirit merch. I’m not sure why these dudes are unloading these gems, but they are. We win, right? First up is this incredibly rare pair of patches from the beginning days of Free Spirit. American Pride! Party In The USA! California Uber Alles! American Rules!

Next up is this incredibly rare Free Spirit / Gypsy tour patch. Such a great tour! Lots of moshing, lots of great merch. And an embroidered patch? Hell yes. Would look sick as hell on your Barbie Starter jacket.

And then there is this extremely rare bike straight from Gil’s collection. It’s AWESOME. And legit. I saw him roll up to the gig on Saturday night on this dream machine. He had a cute young lass on his handlebars and was the king of the road. The high life.

And if that isn’t enough for you, there is always this shirt from icegrillz05. Limited to just 8 in this yellow color. I’ve honestly never seen one or even heard of them. But it is surely legitimate. Our boy is a good egg. Lots of tees, just needs to clean out his closet.
