Cartoon Nonsense.
I’m not even gonna bother posting the back of this Slapshot shirt being sold by janvanderdam, because it doesn’t do anything to save it.
I very definitely remember someone describing Slapshot’s aesthetic in this era as “cartoon nonsense” in the pages of Extent (I believe it was in reference to the Same Mistake/Might Makes Right artwork being one of the 10 best hc record covers, but later they descended into said nonsense), and it’s hard to disagree.

What happened to Right Idea? I feel like I haven’t heard about them in a while now. I don’t recall hearing break up stories or rumors, and then again, I haven’t seen a release from them since their LP on React Records. Interesting. Where did they go? Either way, bleedingedges has up this great shirt. This one is definitely Release/Floorpunch inspired. Very crucial. I’m feeling it. If you have a Right Idea Smorgasbord design, hit me up.
