Quick one from team.prozac that I meant to throw up earlier in the week, and it was only seeing a mention of this shirt by a friend of mine that reminded me. Figured the best thing to do was man up and admit it just plain slipped my mind.
I really like how the fading on this tones down the road sign aspects of the front. Really, really wish I hadn’t let it fall by the wayside. Petrus Steele would not be pleased.
Ahhh, the Revelation Records Adidas. I’m sure we all know the deal with these by now, there’s no reason to rehash it. Either you think it was a cool idea, or you don’t. And if you do think it’s a cool idea, like cool enough that you want to own a pair, bettysstealsndeals is (still) happy to oblige you in your quest (what is this, the 5th relist? 6th?).
Must not .. make … a “needs bleach” … joke. So hard, biting my tongue. Nirvana tshirt. I sort of find that hard to believe. That’d be like the first Youth Of Today shirt featuring a Revelation Records logo or a Warzone shirt featuring a Schism logo. I’m sure it’s old, and the tag is certainly an older one. But the first? I don’t know about that. Looks like a shitty gig too. He bought the shirt at the August 1990 Sonic Youth/Nirvana show at the Moore theater in Seattle. He said at the time he thought it was Nirvana’s first shirt.

So clearly at some point, someone took some classic old fliers and did limited screen prints of them. Cool idea, and 3 out of 5 look really rad, though as someone who draws fliers, I’d be a little miffed if someone took one that I had made and made their own limited print of it of it for profit. Assuming these were originally sold for profit, that is. But it’s not like these are new fliers or anything; I doubt very many people even know who did them or where to find them, so really it’s the most minor of quibbles.
