Remember when I misremembered this Madball hoodie as being Look My Way era Madball merch, as sold at the Dollar Off With A Moustache show in Cambridge (see below)?
Well I think biglion814 has possibly redeemed my allegedly faulty memory…
Praying hands and cuffs on what’s definitely an older Madball shirt. Boom. I knew I wasn’t crazy. Well, wrong about seeing that design before anyways.
I always get a kick out of this Hatebreed shirt being sold by biglion814 (whose pictures, I might add, do not live up to the first third of his handle)…
I mean, a Hatebreed Judge rip. And not just a Judge rip, but a full blown Schism tee rip. You have to wonder how many push metal mosh jockeys this flew right over the head of.
This Snapcase shirt for sale by chrislight74 always cracks me up. I know the design is based on the first 7″, but what the hell is that based on? I’m not a well educated man, so I couldn’t tell you if these alien looking things are Greek mythological creatures, cave drawings, Native American artwork or in fact mutant alien bulldogs. What I can tell you is that there is in fact a tiny Victory bulldog on the back. I never thought I would say this, but I prefer it over the aliens. It’s a sad day.
I am emotionally torn about this Guns N Roses NJ Summer Jam 1988 shirt being sold by kcatman77. On the one hand, the front of it? Totally, totally awesome. The combination of the cross logo and rose wrapped pistols rules hard, and is something you don’t see very often. Plus you get the 1988 Tour mention on there as well, and you all know how much we dig that sort of thing.
The flip side of that, quite literally, is the back of the shirt…
Yikes. The top logo would have been fine on it’s own, but this is where making a tour/show specific shirt bites us in the ass, as Deep Purple, Aerosmith, and Giants Stadium all got shoe horned on to the back in an obnoxious manner and in a color scheme that clashes with the rest of the shirt. It just plain doesn’t work together, and it turns a colossal win into an almost colossal bum out. Maybe get it and just wear it with an open zip up…
