Rival Mob – Giant Life

Barry Bonds juiced. So did Jose Canseco, Mark Maguire and Roger Clemens. The mid 90s was all about the long ball and fast balls. Every game became a home run derby. I’m not sure I’d consider anything the Giants have done to be a Raw Life. But here we have a oddfellowsrest123 that features the SF Giants colorway. Not sure I can hang with this particular color. It’s better than Oakland A’s look, but still. That bright orange LOC on the back is quite ill, though.

This shirt was, of course, sold on the recent West Coast tour with The Mongoloids. Hopefully everyone had a chance to give Doug Free a whats up. Maybe a pat on the back or something. What up, Doug?

PS. I’m not suggesting doing a Red Sox colorway either. You all know why.

It’s a Clobberin Boot!

I think Sick Of It All is original, but I find that hard to believe. The story goes like this. This shirt design was screened in the late 80s and brought to a gig at the Anthrax (I do believe). It was a rush job and they didn’t get heat set properly. The club was packed and the shirts sold like hot cakes. Most kids wore their new tees through out the show. Of course, the heat, sweat and humidity didn’t help these tshirts. Most designs sweated off that day. White tees became grey smears. That’s the other thing. This shirt came in two colors. Black tee with white ink and white shirt with black ink. What you are looking at here is a white tshirt with RED ink. That is not black ink at all. This could mean a few things.

1) This is a boot. Perhaps an older boot, but still a boot.
2) SOIA reprinted these shirts at some point.

No idea. Lets see if we can get someone to chime in with the answer. If you are looking for confirmed legit merch, hit up the bands Merch Direct store.

Floorpunch_fan

Our buddy xbestoneyetx has some nice FP merch for you to spend all that Christmas (or in this seller’s case, Hannukah) money on…

Plenty of bands have basketball jerseys, but there’s one band that really can pull of having a football jersey, it’s Floorpunch.

I regret not getting one of these zip-ups at the “final” show in NJ last January, but I was having too good a time during the rest of the show to fight with the merch line. Here’s a video in case you weren’t there http://www.vimeo.com/8829109

Shark Attack

I think its safe to say that Shark Attack is responsible for the popularity of Antidote in the present day. I feel like there wasnt a real buzz about them until Shark Attack covered “foreign job lot” at one of the edge day Y2X show. I feel like after that everyone was talking about how great Antidote was, etc… I know that like redemtion87 covered them as well but no one seemed to really care. Im not saying some people wernt saying that before just that it really took off after that. So thank you Shark Attack for $4-500 record prices.
On to the band though. I really like these records to this day. They hold up real well and make me a bumout that Shark Attack never made another 7″ or an LP. They always had dope shirts too. I wouldnt wear it but I love their take on the Iron Cross design with the shark attacky edges. This one is brought to us again by mahabysdad
