When my aunt was in high school, she had a tshirt made up that said, “I Love Brian.” Brian was her high school boyfriend. They broke up shortly after high school, I got the shirt. I haven’t worn in 14-15 years, but it was already a good tee to have around. I’m suggesting an In My Eyes / Get Down / Piss Mountain fan could pick this one up. I’m sure it’d look better on anyone BESIDES boobytouchusa.
Sugar Shorts
I’m not claiming these shorts are cool. Not even close. But I will claim if you wear these shorts to a hipster party, you will get lots of free PBR and your choice of people to suck face. I’m not sure anyone even remembers who Sugar was. Hell File Under Easy Listening dropped in 1994, it too was giant on BMG. Who could forget that album cover (recreated nicely on these shorts for you)? I remember wanting to pick it up, but I decided to get Queen’s Live At Wembley instead. Seriouly, who wants to live forever? But you can get lots of cool points with these. Bob Mould, Husker Du, lots of check list items for scene points. Obviously not the hardcore scene though.
The Straight Edge Varsity Jacket
I’m torn on my opinion on this varsity jacket from mrvarsity01. Why torn? I’ll break it down for you.
Pros:
There is a company that recognizes the straight edge market
This company is providing slightly less expensive jackets than a one off
This company recognizes the demographic because so many people must have been buying straight edge varsity jackets
You can get the jacket in any size or color you want
Cons:
Some company is mass marketing varsity jackets
Individual touches and design are out the window for a cookie cutter (albeit GREAT) jacket
Some company is trying to cash in on straight edge
So yeah, I’m torn.
True Colors Baseball Jacket
HEY now. Where the fuck did this jacket come from? It’s awesome. I recall seeing True Colors on their last US tour and I definitely don’t remember seeing these jackets. I definitely would have recalled them. This is where varsity jacket (more thoughts on that particular jacket later), it’s still pretty damn crucial. Someone, fill in the gaps.
