And We Still Want More Jerseys From The Streets Of Baltimore…

Kind of surprised to see that, as of this writing (9pm on Monday night), this swank Trapped Under Ice football jersey that ruffryderz1023 has ending today still has no bids. Are kids only into basketball jerseys right now or something? Those are always being bid on super quick, and I know we tend to hype them up a bit more cuz we love them, but actually I always have been an equal fan of both (though it’s only when I hit the 200lb mark that they became a look I could pull off). Hell, I don’t even like the Ravens and think this looks cool.

Meurader?

I feel kind of weird taking frankrizzo789 to task for spelling Merauder wrong in his title when the band name is itself technically mispelled, but man… MEURADER?

It’s not like it can even be played off as a typo either, because he spells it the same way in the description…

Up for bid is this rare Meurader hoodie. It’s long out of print, but looks and feels like new.

For shame dude. For shame.

Chokehold Reserves

I don’t like reserves. As a seller, they aren’t worth it. Putting up a reserve is extra money out of your pocket from the get go. Even if the reserve isn’t met, I think you still pay a fee. Not cool. Plus, rather than use a bogus reserve system, why not just list your tshirt at the lowest price you would have created a reserve for? It’s far more economical. I understand the psychology behind listing a tshirt with a low starting bid, but if there is a reserve in place, you negate that. People bump up against the reserve and just walk away. UNLESS, that is UNLESS the item being sold is an 1977 Led Zeppelin tour track suit. Otherwise, reserves are just a waste.

Consider this Chokehold shirt from xdrugfreepridex. Great shirt, no doubt. But he starts with a $9.99 opening bid. Based on the condition of this shirt, that opening bid price almost seems like a pipe dream. The ink looks like it is eating itself from the outside in. Seriously. Then by throwing on a reserve, he’s pretty much scaring every buyer off. That’s my estimate. It’ll be interesting to watch this auction.

Two Words…

I generally try to stay away from posting Wrong Side shirts unless I drew the art for them or have a story to tell, but ruffryderz1023‘s explanation for how he came to own this last show longsleeve (ending today!) was too good to not post…

“I think I got this in a trade for beer from someone. Can’t remember, but I know I wasn’t at the show.”

Two words indeed.

I should point out, however, that these were sold at at least 3 different “last shows” that I can think of. We originally made them for Posi Numbers 05 (last show #1), but that went to hell and we never played, so we just kept gigging and selling them until the Last Supper show (last show #3, with the Integrity show the month before as #2, though it was Mission that said that and not us), where we did a new batch with blue print instead of red. And even then there were still some leftover XL’s of the red print floating around for us to sell at a couple of the gigs that came after that. So basically what I’m saying is, this could have been bought any time we played from 2005 to 2007, and not necessary at our “last show”.

Be sure to check out the other auctions, as ruffryderz1023 has a bunch of good stuff ending over the next 12 or so hours.
