THIS IS HARDCORE: Foundation.

Seller waketheroom brings us a piece of limited merch from This Is Hardcore. Not because he’s flipping it like certain other people have, but because his friend bought him the wrong size. I’ve had this happen, and it sucks. Foundations set at This Is Hardcore, on the other hand, definitely did NOT suck.

I got back from a delicious cheese steak and cherry soda at Chink’s with Porter, Cooper, and Rifkin right as Foundation were starting, and I just stood in the back and watched while digesting. It was great; both the company, the food, and the set. But you don’t have to take my word for it…

There Will Be Quiet After The Tour.

Seller patrick166 (aka Slavko) has some good stuff up this week, mostly metal shirts, but there are some good hc gems in there as well. In particular, this Judge shirt from the 1990 tour.

I know the NY Crew shirt is considered the classic, but I have always preferred the 1990/1991 tour shirts. Maybe it’s the 3-D lettering, or maybe it’s all the lightning imagery. Maybe it’s just cuz you see them so much less than the hammers, I dunno. Whatever it is, I like ’em. But something about this one seems off to me. Maybe it’s because the front print was also the back print on the Stormin’ The West Coast shirts, albeit with a different tag line, and those are the ones I saw first. And to be honest, it works much better that way I think. Still, can’t go wrong with any of The Storm era Judge shirts.

What An Excellent Day For An Exorcism

Is Regan behind this because it is starting to freak me out. What you are looking at are THREE Bane Excorcist shirts from 2000. That’s 10 years ago. And the shirt wasn’t that prolific to begin with. Not many made. On top of that, each seller, chrisreject has a MEDIUM tshirt for sale. Yes, 3 medium tshirts of a design from 2000. That’s weird, right? I can’t be the only one who finds this extremely odd. We might need a visit from Father Karras on this one.

Why Do I Bother Using The “Watch List” Feature?

I always forget about whatever it is I put into my watch list. Always.

Case in point. Believe it or not, this Straight Edge hardcore kid is super into W.A.S.P.

Yes, that W.A.S.P.

Now, actual W.A.S.P. shirts that aren’t hideous, either in price or design, are a nigh impossibility to find. The over priced expensive ones from vintage stores, sure they’re always there, but even the hideous ones rarely show up with low start bids. But late last week, I stumbled upon one that was actually wearable, and still moderately low ($20 I think it was at). So I figured what the hell, I’ll check in on it towards the end and maybe throw in a bid. So instead of BEING SMART AND POSTING IT HERE WHERE I CAN’T MISS IT (and by posting I mean writing a draft and not publishing it, some things I’m just not gonna share with y’all), I put it on my watch list.

Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.

I forgot all about it, and when I finally did remember, it turns out it sold for an easily affordable $34.

So now I’m stuck with blackrebelvintage‘s over priced version. $200? No, thank you.

Yes, Virginia, there IS a back print, and all things considered it’s actually quite subtle.
