The Sarge – Uber Nerd

Ronny Little was the outspoken front man for Rain On The Parade. He is known as Sarge or The Sarge. You may also recall he wrote a biting zine called Fuck You Fanzine. It pulled no punches, telling it like it is. I recall MANY scathing reviews of middle of the road hardcore. It was brutal. But in all that brutality, there was a MAJOR vein of funny. And he continued that funny onto the internet a few years back. Some of you may recall Barebones Hardcore his online zine. It took the Fuck You Fanzine platform global. Go check it out. It may be mothballed, but it’ll still crack you up. It was and still is humorous as hell. I suppose, adultcrash2009 would have to have a sense of humor to play hockey in one of these jerseys … Wow, just wow. Uber nerd status.

And if you can’t get down with a hockey jersey, consider picking up this Rain On The Parade tee. For all of you who like buying items directly from the band members (even if it’s 15 years later), this is the shirt for you. Simple. Love that it’s royal blue, not navy. Awesome.

What Would Greg Ginn Do?

Greg Ginn is probably rolling in his grave** at the sight of these tshirts. What do Tegan And Sara have to do with Black Flag? Besides being Canadian** of course. It just makes no sense. I too saw these at Sound And Fury, just like Barret Records. Still don’t get it.

PS. It’s probably already winter in Canada. Get this classy scarf to protect you from those snow drifts.

Trapped Under Ice Goes Pre-Columbian …

I’m not exactly up on my pre-Columbian Mexican history, but I’d guess that’s where the image from this Trapped Under Ice crewneck originated. Sadly, neither is y0soymilk. The only hints given is that this crewneck was purchased at United Blood in 2009. Yeah, no help at all. If I had to guess, I would say this image is of Mixtec origin, around 1200 AD. But again, I’m a computer nerd, not a history nerd. Can anyone find the original codice for this one? Or was it hand drawn, inspired by the time? Must know more …

We Forgive You …

Welcome To Boston! Oh man, when In My Eyes would play this song, kids would go CRAZY. No matter what I say, no matter what I do … Your moshing. And Boston was good to these dudes. Boston was their home turf, and the kids there stood behind them. One thing I can’t stand behind? You guessed it, navy tees. I’m pretty sure this tshirt only came on a navy tee. Throughout all the years, In My Eyes only released shirts on a very few colors. Navy and black were the big ones. Grey and royal were runners up. Maroon was WAY down the list. Revelation Records were mix it up with a few thumbprint tees on tan, but for the most part, In My Eyes stuck to the basic colors and let the fonts and graphics stand out.

For those not up on Boston history, the back print is the Seal of the Commonwealth (Massachusetts is a commonwealth, not a state. No joke. There are 4 commonwealth “states” in total. Get your knowledge up!). The seal reads Ense petit placidam sub libertate quietem. That’s latin for all you heathens out there. It means “by the sword we seek peace, but peace only under liberty.” Deep.

Make sure to check out mazzo29’s other auctions for more great gems like this. But without the historic facts, sadly.
