I Saw VOD The Other Night.

This past Friday at the Gramercy Theatre, to be specific. And if he wasn’t in Virginia, it wouldn’t surprise me that xrebelheartsx had been there too, and immediately gone home and put this shirt up in sadness…

Not that it was a surprise, since it’s been the case since like 1998, but VOD in 2010 = rock concert. A very crowded rock concert to be sure, but a rock concert all the same. I’m not gonna say that people don’t stage dive to VOD or that they’re not into that happening anymore or anything, but in this particular instance the only stage diving was done by 20 beach balls that they (not even they, they’re road crew) threw out into the crowd before the lights went out and Party In The USA started blaring out over the PA. They DID open with Suffer and Element, which in theory is cool but it was just a total rock show vibe (dude tried for the scream version of a high note in Suffer for crying out loud) that it was actually just awkward. None of us were feeling it, so we left early and went to Shake Shack, which made the night a big win.

So yeah, long story short (too late), don’t expect to see the back of this shirt recreated any time soon.

Justice Tie Dyed

I’m not sure who this joooooom character is, but he sure does have a lot of great euro hardcore merch available currently. Some great stuff from True Colors, Loud And Clear, Common Cause and of course, Justice. And this shirt might be my favorite one. A clean look with a Powered Records logo. Just a sharp look. Then add in the tie dye, and you’ve gone off the bonkers chart. In the tradition of tie dyeing shirts, this is a great one (purple PX tie dye, judge schism tie dye, …). The colors aren’t too complicated and that’s what makes this shirt work. Simple graphic, simple dye job. But the combo, … zany. Lucky for you, it’s not my size.

Hatebreed Print Plus Coffee Spill

Can we get Jim C to weigh in on this print from hunkapunk? This is a limited edition, hand screened, hand signed and number print. It was created for the Hatebreed, Bane, Poison The Well and What Feeds The Fire tour of 2002. I’ve honestly never seen this print before, and I honestly have no idea who the artist is. The art is not familiar to me and the signature is unrecognizable. Also, screening a print on the back of a target practice screen? Wow. Tough. I’m sure Ange would approve. Is that coffee, orange juice or beer? If this print was unstained, we’d have a battle on our hands …

Down To Nothing Gets Real.

Seller furyofzane must not be aware of this, since he mentions it nowhere in his auction, but this is actually a rip off design…

A rip off of what band? Why Brick NJ’s own Get Real of course. Hence the “Brickmond” on the shirt.
