Yo, so here’s the deal. Since I am the sole TTD contributor who happened to be at This Is Hardcore this past weekend (not cuz dude’s didn’t want to be but because I’m the only one who had the available time to commit to another fest), whenever I see some TIHC merch make the inevitable jump to the ‘Bay, I’m gonna post it and give y’all a little mini-review of whatever band it is, or some other related tidbit from the weekend. So let’s all thank aakano for starting us off before day 2 of the fest was even finished…
Cool retro design here. Not sure if it’s a rip off of anything, or if it was fest exclusive, but both the font and cartoon style are very VERY 70s.
We’ve mentioned before how much I want to stage dive my ass off to Title Fight. Well, I had my chance. Though if I’m gonna be honest, that stage was getting swarmed and I didn’t get off as many dives as I would have liked. But that’s one of the great things about TIHC: you actually have to earn your dives. Joe doesn’t make it easy for anyone to get up there (let alone stay up there, you gotta make your move fast or you’ll be booted like the stage potato you are), but he’s also gonna do his best to keep you from diving onto no one and break your fool neck. So I did my best to make the most of my chances. Only time (and the Hate5Six video) will tell if they were decent. It was definite stage dive mania up there, kids just flying everywhere. Some good, some bad, some GREAT. There was one kid there who was just FLYING through the air, getting just ridiculous hang time on flips. Unfortunately I don’t think I ever saw him have a good landing, but it was some impressive stuff.
Seller richardbladeyourself is back with this New Age Records Powerhouse long sleeve. While I really like this shirt, I have to say that this is quite possibly the worst picture of a shirt I have ever seen. Someone is going to drop a chunk of change on this thing, and you would imagine they would have at least liked to see it laid out flat and not in a crumpled heap.
Stand up and raise your hand if you have presented Jeff Perlin with a Big Mac at a Breakdown show? I should see one hand.
