Later tonight, I’m seeing Rampage, Step Forward, Give, Lion Of Judah and a slew of other great bands.

I’m pretty frigging excited. It’s been too long since my last show. I miss the gig vibe.

But not only are amazing bands playing, but my friends (from SF, from Boston) from Maryland are coming up for the gig. My friend Sarah moved to Maryland a while back and I don’t think I’ve seen her in years. But her and her boyfriend are coming for the gig. I miss these people.

What’s all of this have to do with Mindset?

Well, well, well. Wouldn’t you know it, her boyfriend plays in Mindset. Very chill dude. Great edge and LOVES the core. In fact (and obviously), ALL those dudes love the core. They support it wholeheartedly, and I can get behind that.

WTF is this?

I don’t think I have EVER seen a camera take a worse picture than this. If you took a Polaroid in near darkness and scanned it in with a scanner from 1992, if would look better. You can actually count the pixels! Oh my.

Count Me Out

At some point, Count Me Out went from a positive hardcore band to … something else.

Not goth and not crust.

But something else.

Their changing style was evident in their visual presentation of merch. The EP with Sid And Nancy. Or this tee.

The message on this tshirt is just depressing. When I think of Count Me Out, I think of high kicks and sing alongs. I don’t think of Who Killed Marilyn.

Just me?

I will give it props for having “Count Me Out \ Permanent \ XXX” though.

Mastering the Art of Selling in Lots

So you’ve got a hot lot on your hands and you want to sell it on ebay?

That’s great.

You’ve written up great descriptions of each item, INCLUDING how you came to own them?

Excellent.

You’ve taken individual pictures of every item in your lot?

That’s great too.

BUT

You may want to consider putting the most “valuable” tshirt as the default image.

In this case, the following 3 shirts are in a lot. Which pic do you think the buyer sees as they scroll down the search results?

If you guessed A, you are correct. If you guessed B, you should have been correct. No disrespect to Ian and Co, but I’m saying, from the seller’s standpoint, the American Nightmare tee is the gem of the lot and should be the item that gets the most attention.
