Ever Fallen In Love?

Ever Fallen In Love?

This one is for Josh. He LOVES autographed merch. This seems right up is alley.

Granted, it’s from 3-4 years ago (at most). And of course, it only features partial autographs by the OG lineup.

“Pete Shelley, Steve Diggle, and the two other newer members that were on tour with them at the time.”

Anyone know who those “two other newer members” are?

Chain Of Strength one off sweatshirt

I love stories of odd pieces of gear that were made for the hell of it. There is something special about having something like this in the closet. Here is the description from the seller

CHAIN OF STRENGTH VINTAGE CHAMPION REVERSE WEAVE SWEATSHIRT
Tag states size large, but this fits a bit smaller by today’s standards, check the measurements for a good fit.
This is the holy grail of SxE garments, one of kind.
((PICS BELOW))
Here’s the story::::Back in the early 90’s some friends and I were on tour with the Chain of Strength folks, this belonged to one of the members. Back then we seemed to constantly be trading shirts, records, etc…I ended up with this. This is no joke/scam.
I would guess the sweatshirt was previously owned by the band member, and he took it down the screen shop ((wherever Jordan from Revelation had his t-shirt printing done)), and had this screened custom.
This was a popular back print on the Chain t-shirt designs.
So not only is the context amazing, but the sweatshirt is too. Late 1980’s heavy weight 89% Cotton/8% Acryic/3% Rayon.
Heather gray.
The screen is in great condition with just a bit of wading at the lower right.
It shows wear, but it’s good that way. Some holes around the sleeves and hood, and couple others here and there ((see pics)).
Also, a bit of the ink used to screen the back is on the right sleeve.
This belongs in a hardcore museum, if there is/will be such a thing.

Bane: 1998 & 2008

Holding This Moment.

That’s a concept I can hang with. I mean, think about it, 1998 was 12 fucking years ago. Bane was the top of the game back then. And surprisingly, they are still killing it today. With a tour of Asia on the horizon, life is good.

1998 was  a big year. Bane did their first full US tour. Prior to that, it was weekends down to Virginia Beach or DC but never a full US tour. At the time, they took out this small band called Saves The Day. They also whipped up their first longsleeve design. Great look. Tan with black ink. Blue ink on the sleeves. Very hype.

They also did a short sleeve. Orange. Bright orange. Oddly, at one gig at The Space in Worcester, TWO bands had bright orange shirts. Almost matching. Harvest AND Bane. Weird.

Ten years later, the design was revisited for another tour. Holding This Moment 2008. Another quality tour. The US, Europe, all the hot spots.

I’ll be here tomorrow, I’ll be here next year. Just like the X on the back of this hand…
