“You are bidding on a RITES OF SPRING t-shirt. I got this from a dude around ten years ago, probably a DIY job, but a damn nice one. I have no idea if Dischord ever did Rites Of Spring shirts, but I would lean towards “no”. The only shirt I’ve ever gotten from Dischord was an Egg Hunt shirt, which I actually got from writing to Jeff Nelson. I actually wrote to Guy c/o Dischord a few times in the late eighties, and he was nice enough to tape me both the One Last Wish and Happy Go Licky records, which were holy grail type items for the Dischord obsessed back then. All his correspondence was written on that light green, ruled accounting paper which I thought was so weird and so cool. I hope little dudes these days are still able to have meaningful interaction like that with bands and people they admire. I’m still amazed that a grown ass man who was touring the world and coming home to a day job as a waiter took the time out of his life to dub a ninety minute tape and write letters to some weird ass teenager. Ray Cappo never wrote my ass back! Porcell did once, that was it. My buddies and I used to joke around that he was a bad pen pal because he had trouble seeing around his nose when he was trying to write. Man, we were such little shits. “
