In all the years of big, big fests, I’ve only ever attended one. It was the Warped Tour back in 2005. And of course, it was only because Bane was playing. It was a super pain in the ass to get into the gig, but it was worth it for the experience. I’ve definitely never been to Lolapalooza, Woodstock or even Locapalooza (Worcester heads know what I’m talking about). But if I had, I would want to see L7, Sublime and No For An Answer. Not really, but I’d be into see Quicksand and Orange 9mm in a stupid big environment. I wonder what Wally thought of the gig? I’m guessing squanfan was into it. 1995. Wow.
Sublime played with Hogan’s Heroes locally that year too.
I went to the one in SC, SOIA and Civ played as well
The first year of Warped Tour was the only year that I’ve ever gone, and here in Portland, it was in a 1500 capacity venue. Civ and No Doubt also played the show here.
Sublime was kicked off this half way through because of the amount of drugs they consumed.
This show in 95 was had a strange vibe, but it worked…This show in 95 was in Irvine Cali. and there was not really a huge turnout as it was the first here of it’s kind…Quicksand was great, orange 9mm played,I know I saw L7, but cannot recall anything else…
jawbreaker also played this.
i saw this in camden NJ, left summer camp early.
the next year in DC was suppose to be at RFK stadium, but they moved it to the Capital Ballroom (site of the superbowl of HC’s). That show was sick too… RFTC, Civ, face to Face, + more
be serious , sublime > orange 9mm , same equation goes for the other bands too, talk about a warped tour haha
cheers
The one in north hampton had SOIA, Mung, WIzo, Seaweed, possibly TREE, and I believe all the other above mentioned acts. I think I still have the “booklet” that came with it. And one of the free issues of “warp” magazine which is what the fest was named after.
