It’s pretty safe to say that Stay What You Are was a GIANT departure from the Saves The Day that we all knew and loved. Honestly, Through Being Cool was a clear indication that the ship was turning. It just wasn’t clear at the time how far that turn was going to be. Stay What You Are made it abundantly clear. Mind you, I enjoy this album. But much like the Fastbreak Whenever You’re Ready album, I have to convince myself it’s actually a whole different band. In Saves The Day case, this was close to true. Sean (RIP) was fighting cancer, Bryan was on his way out. It was starting to look like a band I didn’t recognize. No worries, the music was still enjoyable, even if it did take me 10 years to get into Through Being Cool.

I like stay what you are. Hate in reverie and under the boards. Recently this past year actually got into sound the alarm. I really like that record now
Under The Boards is basically unlistenable.
