I really dig the pocket print on this old Straight Ahead boot that Aussie seller jd_word has up right now, but I’m not so sure if the back print works. You can see it coming through on the picture there, and he has a pic of it in the auction. It’s the usual SA design, which is a classic. But on the back of a shirt? I’m not so sure that works. It might just make you look like you’re trying to start a hardcore version of Kris Kross.
hey thanks for posting this. i’m still hoping someone can fill me in on who actually made these.
actually just got an email from someone who spotted the auction and answered my call for help on identifying the shirt, here’s the response…will update listing shortly…
Hey,
This straight ahead shirt was put out by the drummer of 80’s u.k posi/sxe band Hooded Youth [check out the track ‘count me out’ if you ever come across the rehersal tape!!] who went on to become Shutdown/Bob Tilton etc etc..Four different tees were put out in early 1990/91. The other 3 being Wide Awake,Crippled Youth and Side By Side. They were printed in Nottingham U.K by Dave Fudge of the Band Fudge Tunnel only 25 of each shirt was ever made and sold via mail order [under the name D.C.DISTRO]and local notts H.C shows. I’d say even tho its a boot it still makes it kinda cool as only a low number were made and seeing i still own two of them myself. I have seen a couple of the other 3 in sxe tee collectors blogs etc..Which is also a blast as again nobody knows anything about them. Good to see these badboys are still around. I hope that helps..Please let the guys over at the mighty TTD know for me. Best wishes xxx
