Summer Tour 1998

1998 was a great year for hardcore. Seriously. It was a great year personally for me, no doubt, but 98 was beyond compare for the core. I know it sounds ridiculous when you compare it to 86 or 88, but roll with me on this one. The Youth Crew Revival was in it’s up swing. Floorpunch was head walking all over Jersey. In My Eyes, Ten Yard Fight, Fastbreak and Bane were diving off of balconies all over the US but especially Boston. It was a wonderful year. And Worcester gigs were the hot shit. The Space (III) was the place to be on the weekend, all 3 days. There was always a great event going on. This jacket likely came from the same event I mentioned in my Harvest post. This show was bananas.

August 16 1998 @The Space Worcester Mass: Saves The Day, Barrit, Harvest, The Sheist, Bane

Great jacket. I like that the original owner’s girlfriend thought he looked “cute” in it. That’s a keeping not selling point, I’d say.

I couldn’t find any old Saves The Day tshirts to share, but here’s a pretty old one. Decent BIN price too…

That summer tour was the first time I saw both Bane and Saves the Day. The show was on a Monday night and A New Found Glory and the Vacant Andys (featuring Chris from Dashboard) played. There were seriously 10 people there and Bane put on one of the top 10 best live shows Ive ever seen to this day

I really miss the days of The Space, St Johns Gym, Club Babyhead, Met Cafe, The Living Room, Studio 158, etc. Hell I just miss the 90s and hitting a different show almost every night. Shit just aint the same down here in NC.

    Speaking of Death Threat….
What is a Hatebreed/Integrity split tape worth. There isn’t much word on this odd/rare item.
